Sandra was the eldest of seven living adult children, born to John and Edith Tyler.
Sandra was the family historian and geneologist from 1966 by hand then by computer since 1984 to the present, she worked diligently and daily on her passion.
Sandra is preceded in death by her youngest son John Christopher Duncan in 2003, and her husband of 49 plus years, Richard Charles Duncan Sr. just 2 months and 4 days before she passed away. October 17, 2007 would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.
Sandra Tyler Duncan leaves 3 beautiful children
Ginger Duncan Wortham of Arkansas, Carol Duncan Sexton, of New Mexico, and Richard Charles Duncan Jr. of Sacramento, CA. Sandra also leaves 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sandra's sisters and brothers are.
John Tyler Jr. d.1997 of Burbank, CA.
Ronnie Tyler of Topeka, Kansas
Letitia Tyler of Anchorage, Alaska
Janice Tyler Mortimer of Sacramento, CA.
Benjamin Tyler of Sunland, CA.
Nancy Tyler Shermer of Sacramento, CA.Sandra was my mentor, friend & older sister. She was very intelligent & raised 4 children (Virginia,Richard Jr, Carol & John) with her husband of nearly 50 years, Richard. Their youngest son, John Christopher Duncan pre-deceased his parents @ age 38 due to asthma,he leaves behind a daughter, Ciara. Sadly her husband, Richard, died May 18, 2007. Sandra loved using her computer & had friends all over the world. She put her heart & soul into genealogy. Much of what she found she put in a book for her brothers (2 babies were born pre-mature before Sandra was born in 1940, they lived a short time. They were John & Joan) her siblings: (John 3 pre-deceased Sandra) John 3, Ronald, Letitia, Janice, Benjamin & Nancy. Upon her death all of the info went to Ronnie. She wanted to publish the book, but never got that far. She died 7/18/2007, she died exactly 2 months after her husband died. Their son Richard Jr has their remains. RIP my beloved Sister.
