Daughter of Charles E. and Anna Babka Richert.RUTH ANN (RICHERT) BELL, 101, WAS A resident of Countryside Manor in Stokesdale, where she passed away on April 17, 2015.

Ruth was born April 11, 1914 in Cleveland, OH to Charles Elmer Richert and Annette Helen (Babka) Richert. She married the late Mitchell Thomas Bell of Greensboro in 1933 and spent the remainder of her life in Greensboro. Ruth has a sister, Eileen Rose (Richert) Jordan of Greensboro and a brother, Raymond Charles Richert (deceased).She is also survived by two sons: Thomas Vance Bell, II (wife: Barbara Lashley) of Union, SC, and Ramon Neil Bell (wife: Maria Maness) of Stokesdale. She has five grandchildren: Vicki Lynn Bilka (& Larry), Christi Bell, Thomas Vance Bell, III of Union, SC, Natalie Maria (Bell) Rempe (& Scott) of Kernersville, Mitchell Thomas Bell, II (& Angela Rogers) of Liberty; seven great-grandchildren: Richard Owen, III, Dale Knight, Lisa Nicole Bell, Kyle Joseph Rempe; Ashten Maria Rempe, Addison Ruth Bell, Ashleigh Elizabeth Bell; one great-great grandchild, Richard Owen, IV; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. Ruth graduated from Garfield High School in Cleveland, OH (1932). She was a housewife for many years. She worked for Woman's College (now UNCG) in the late 1950's, then as a bookkeeper for Clemmons Florist, retiring at the age of 77 in 1991. Family and friends will remember her as a loving person who took pride in her work and appearance. She wanted to look and do her best at all times. Just a few days before her passing, she scheduled her hair appointment for Monday. She was also a big Atlanta Braves baseball fan and had the team schedule with her ready to watch the weekend games.The family wishes to extend thanks to Ruth's many friends and family who visited with her over the years, especially: Bill & Lula Deese, Sara Morden, Jane Kerr, Carol Somody, and Angie from OLG.
