Ms. Martha Matilda Hilliard, 102, departed from this life on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Randolph Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Born August 25, 1907, in Randolph County, to the late Manuel and Minnie Strider, Ms. Hilliard was a member of Franklinville Baptist Church. She was a loving a devoted caregiver to her husband, parents, and other friends and family. She loved to cook and spend time with her nieces and nephews.
Those left to cherish her memory include her numerous nieces and nephews, whom she considered to be her children.
Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Chapel has the honor of assisting the Hilliard family.
