Professional Baseball Player. He began his career in 1910, appearing for Clubs in Omaha, Nebraska and Buxton, Iowa. He played with the Minneapolis Keystones in 1911 before joining the Chicago Union Giants in 1913, appearing off-and-on with the club through 1917. In between, he also played for the Chicago American Giants in 1915 and 1916 and San Francisco Park of the Cuban Winter League in the winter of 1915-16. Bauchman joined the Chicago Giants in 1919 and remained with the team when it joined the Negro National League in 1920. He played for both Chicago and the St. Louis Giants that year, and returned to the Chicago Giants 1921. In 60 documented major league games, he batted .226 with 23 runs batted in. His final season came in 1923 with a now-independent Chicago Giants. Primarily a second baseman, Bauchman also played third base, shortstop and pitcher in his career.
