abt 1924 she married Clarence William Cosner (1891-1951) who adopted Don and changed Don's last name.
(Clarence, Rubye, and Don are in 1930 and 1940 census.
Clarence was born a "Philbrick" and also adopted and given the last name of "Cosner")
Clarence and Rubye are buried in Bozeman Montana)

After retirement from the US Air Force he worked at the HQ USAF Services agency with Dr. Lionel Wesley Simmons and others.

In fact in 1975, Don (along with Lt Colonel Charlie Ota) hired me to work for him at the club management division of the "agency".

"I just thought I'd inform you that Mr. Cosner attended Montana State University and played professional football for the Chicago Cardinals in 1939! I have added him to a virtual cemetery I've created for Golden-Age (pre-1960) NFL football players.
To find it, just look under my name.

"Don Cosner was the son of Rubye S. (1895-1983) by her first marriage. Her maiden name and married name unknown. About 1924, she married Clarence William Cosner (1891-1951). He adopted Don and changed last name to Cosner. You can find Clarence, Rubye and Don in 1930 and 1940 censuses. Clarence was a Philbrick and was also adopted and given name Cosner. Clarence and Rubye are buried in Bozeman and can be found on Find a Grave. Rubye's gravestone indicated d. 1984 but records indicate 1983.
Cosners are a branch of Wiggins family that I track."
