Cpl. Willie P. Celestine of Lafayette, La., graduated from Acadiana High School in Lafayette in 2004. He had joined the Marines on Jan. 26, 2005 and was a radio operator. He was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Willie was a fun character and loved to make people laugh. He was married and had a young daughter. He died while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Willie died while conducting combat operations in Iraq at age 21.
