Richard Frederick Saeger, 71, town of Merrill, Lincoln county, died yesterday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock in the Lincoln hospital at Merrill. The Rev. W W Vogelmann will officiate at funeral services Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock in St. Stephen's Evangelical church in Merrill. Interment will be in Maple Grove cemetery in the town of Maine. The body will be at the funeral home from tomorrow noon until the time of services.
Mr. Saeger was born in Germany September 29, 1879, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Saeger. He was married in the town of Berlin September 24, 1904, to Miss Ida Kriewald, who died May 27, 1947. He was a former farmer and carpenter.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Esther Goetsch, Chicago, and Mrs. John Wiesneski, 1726 Cherry street; Three sons, Leonard Seager Merrill, Reno Saeger, Milwaukee, and Clarence Saeger, Appleton; a sister, Mrs. Carl Sturm, town of Maine; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
