Funk, 48, who died Friday night of an apparent heart attack, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with military rites by the Edgewood American Legion Post 512; friends may call at the Appleton-Vernon Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Sunday; a rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sunday and a wake service at 8 p.m. Monday, both at the funeral home.
--Mr. Funk was the owner-operator of the Edgewood Sale Barn since 1963 and a well-known Northeast Iowa auctioneer; surviving are three brothers, John of Elkader, Vincent of Dallas, Texas, and Thomas of Edgewood.
