Passed away Tuesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wesley Wise, after a lengthy illness. Age 86 years. He was born Sept. 6, 1869, in Saginaw County, and had resided here his entire life. He married Minnie Kutzbach in Saginaw in 1893. She passed away Sept. 3, 1941. He worked in the coal mines for many years, and later was employed at the Saginaw Water Works, retiring about 20 years ago. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, corner of Court and Bond Streets. Surviving ???TWO WORDS ILLEGIBLE??? daughter, Mrs. Wise, are another daughter and one son, Mrs. Louis Woodward, Hillman; Alfred A. Hahn, Saginaw; four grandchildren; also two brothers and two sisters, August Hahn, Mrs. Joseph Salmer, both of Saginaw; Herman Hahn, St. Charles; Mrs. Mary Dill Lawndale. MY NOTE: Cemetery record lists his middle initial as "F".
1870 Census lists John Hahn, Fredericka Kasthorn (AKA Kasbon) and Willie Kasthorn. Family tree lists John Hahn and Fredericka (Kasbon) married in 1868 ??? So I am not sure if John Hahn is William's father or step-father.
