Eric Cochrane. On Saturday, September 1, 2012, Eric Cochrane transitioned from this life at his home due to an apparent drug overdose. Born September 7, 1988 in Columbus, Ohio, he is survived by his mother and step-dad, Barbara and Ted Eakins; father, Kevin; brother, Brian (Tonya); sister, Michelle; nephew, Christopher; grandparents, Marguerite Cochrane, Donald and Vera Anderson; his step-siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Samuel Conchrane. Eric loved to grow plants and be in nature. During his teen years, he volunteered at the Biological Sciences greenhouse at Ohio State University. He was happy looking for salamanders and other creatures along the creekside at Whetstone Park. He painted beautiful pictures and had plans to start keeping bees in his backyard. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES, 34 W. 2nd Ave., on Friday, September 14, from 6-7 p.m., where Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m.
