-- ROCK HILL - Mrs. Christine Whitesides Reynolds Ashworth, 73, of 1060 Hearn St. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Pastor Dean Reynolds, Pastor Ryan Gillespie, and Pastor Mike Whitson officiating with burial at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road.

Ms. Ashworth was born and raised in York County, the daughter of the late Violet Wheeler Whitesides and Henry Leroy "L.R." Whitesides. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was retired from Star Paper Tube Company. Ms. Ashworth is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Whitesides Fagin.

Christine is survived by her sister, Eleanor Hutto of Hudson, Fla.; her brothers, Henry Leroy Whitesides Jr. of Rock Hill, S.C., and Bobby Whitesides and his wife, Donnie of Salisbury, N.C.; children, Beverly Joy Broadaway and her husband, David of Rock Hill, Pastor Dean Reynolds and his wife, Carole of Swansea, S.C., Gary Reynolds and his wife, Debbie, of Indian Trail, N.C., and Beth Workman and her husband, Donnie of Rock Hill; step-daughters, Barbara Ashworth -Huckabee of Edgemoor, S.C., and Susan McCammon and her husband, James "Choogie" of Richburg, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Joy and David Broadaway, 349 Eagle Lair Drive, Rock Hill.

Memorials may be made to the Eastside Baptist Church building fund, 318 North Jones Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
