Mrs. Charlotta "Lottie" Fox Church, 90, of Hinton, died Mon. Nov 15, 1993 in a Hinton care center following a long illness.

Born Mar. 9, 1903, at Sandstone, she was the daughter of the late Melville S. and Lucinda Belle Cales Johnson.

Mrs. Church was a lifelong resident of Summers County and was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Arthur Fox; her second husband, Thomas W. Church; a son, Billy S. Fox and a daughter, Carrie E. Cales.

Survivors include a son, James A. Fox of Brooks; three daughters, Laura Dick of Richmond, Va., Amanda King of Charlottesville, Va., and Ruth Fisher of Roanoke, Va.; two stepsons, Clifford and Willard Church, both of Ronceverte; two stepdaughters, Ruth O'Brian of Ronceverte and Doris Campbell of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several step grand and great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Thurs. Nov 18 at Hinton Church of Christ with Fred Dinkler officiating. Burial followed in the Fox Cemetery, Brooks.
