This beloved cat was born at our backyard to a pregnant stray mom. His brother was killed by a car when he was about 6 months old. Around June 26 2009 we noticed that he was lethargic and refused to eat. This morning around 10:30 AM we found him under a table at my father's workshop lying on his side. He had widely dilated pupils and was gasping for air. As a Registered Nurse, I immediately suspected that it was a poisoning or pharmacological effect. All medications, cleaning products and pesticides at home are kept under lock & key because we have two additional cats and a dog. We suspect that neighbors against whom a lawsuit about an unrelated issue was filed by us poisoned him. He passed on at 11:05 AM. We buried his body in our backyard.
