A funeral for Sarah Lee Bullock, 54, of Artesia, is scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday in the Nazarene Church in Clinton, Okla., with the Rev. Rick Brewster officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Cooperton, Okla.

Sarah was born Oct. 18, 1951, in Hobart, Okla., to Harvey and Violet (Van Hyning) Kimberlin, and passed away early Monday, March 27, 2006, at Carlsbad Medical Center.

Sarah spent her early years in Oklahoma and Illinois and graduated from the Job Corps in 1968. She worked as a nurse's aide in Jacksonville, Ill., for 20 years. In 1997, she completed truck drivers training and had worked as a trucker. She was a devoted member of the Nazarene Church and had organized and opened a thrift shop in Artesia for the church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, singing, sewing and cooking.


She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey; brother, Jack; grandparents, Cecil and Cora Van Hyning; and stepfather, Jack Travis.

She is survived by a son, Mark Fernandez of Falcon, Mo.; her mother, Violet Brown of Clinton; stepfather, Richard of Clinton; sisters, Judy Hayes and Robin Sharp, both of Clinton, Lois Wagner of Artesia, and Faye Mundy of Lebanon, Mo.; brothers, Cecil Kimberlin of Artesia, and Randall and David Kimberlin of Lebanon, Mo.; aunts, Thelma Thomas of Foss, Okla., and Chloy Wilson of Thomas, Okla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held in the First Church of the Nazarene in Carlsbad at a later date.
