Funeral services for Violet Lucille Brown, 76, Clinton, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2008, at the Clinton First Church of the Nazarene with pastor Rev. Rick Brewster officiating.

Mrs. Brown died Monday, January 21, 2008, at the Grace Living Center in Clinton. She was born August 17, 1931, in Griggsville, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil and Cora (Tipsword) Van Hyning. Growing up in Griggsville, she attended school there before moving to Oklahoma with her family to live in the Hobart, Cooperton and Snyder area. She married Harvey Kimberlin in June of 1946 in Hobart, Oklahoma. They made their home in the Lubbock, Texas, area for awhile and she worked as a cook in several restaurants. After her first husband's death, she moved to Clinton and married Richard Brown in December of 2000. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Jack Kimberlin; a daughter, Sarah Bullock; a sister, Florine Shira; and two brothers, Richard and Henry Van Hyning. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery near Cooperton under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Brown, of the home; daughters, Judy Hayes and Robin Sharp, both of Clinton, Oklahoma; Faye Mundy and Lois Wagner, both of Lebanon, Missouri; sons, Cecil Kimberlin of Artesia, New Mexico, Randy of Falcon, Missouri and David of Lebanon, Missouri; a stepson, Ernest Brown of Thomas, Oklahoma; sisters, Thelma Thomas of Foss, Oklahoma and Chloy Wilson of Bessie, Oklahoma; 29 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.
