Elwood L. Morrison Sr., 89, Valley View Home, died Wednesday, Nov 3, 1999, at the home, following an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 11, 1909, in Huntingdon, the son of the late Robert and Della (Rodgers) Morrison. He married Josephine R. Ellis in Newport News, Va. She died Nov. 8,1997.

MR. Morrison retired as a burner from the Samuel Rea Shops, Pennsylvania Railroad, in 1974, after 29 years of service.

He was an Army veteran, serving with the military police command,Company B.

Surviving are two daughters: Anna M. of Altoona and Violet R. of Groton, Conn.; three sons: Elwood and John R., both of Altoona, and Edward L. of Sturgis, S.D.; eight
grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Carn-Weaver Funeral Home.
