Herman A. Karle of 1905 Sixth Ave, died at Valley View Home at 1:05 o'clock Sunday morning after an extended illness. He was born in Bedford county Jan. 20, 1874, a son of Charles and Elizabeth Jane (Mock) Karle and on March 4, 1895, in Duncansville, married Lillie Ingram, who died Aug. 30, 1917.

Surviving are three daughters and one son, Mrs. Jane Walter, with whom he resided, Mrs. Minnie Gau of Cleveland, O., Mrs May Kinser and John H. of Altoona; 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Simpson Methodist Church and was employed as a stationary fireman at Mercy Hospital. Friends being received at the home and arrangements by Bigelow Funeral Home.

Services for Herman A. Karle of 1905 Sixth Avenue will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the late home by Rev. Lawrence Lykens. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery.
