Elsie Margaret Irwin of 7th St., was found dead at 7 a.m. yesterday on arrival at the Altoona Hospital after an extended illness. She was born in Carson Valley July 1, 1884, a daughter of John and Amanda (Plowman) Brubaker, and married Harry E. Irwin, who died in November 1955.
Surviving are three children, Earl C. of Belleville, Ill., Mrs Virginia Beam and Mrs. Edna Ermin of Altoona; 24 grandchildren and two brothers, David of Altoona and Allen of Miami, Fla.
She was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.
Friends will be received at the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m Friday with Rev. Perry Liskey.
