Awful Slip Into the Arms of Death.
Robert Curry, a well-known resident of Hollidaysburg and a brakeman on Conductor Kephart's train, was crushed to death at Blackburn's siding, near Franklin Forge, yesterday afternoon. The cars were backing on the siding, when Curry jumped from the train on the side of the road where the bank is very steep, and owing to the frosted condition of the ground his feet slipped. He was thrown under the moving cars, crushed fearfully and killed instantly. Deceased was 56 years of age, and a wife and five children are left to mourn his loss. The funeral will take place at 1.30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Lutheran church, Hollidaysburg and proceed to the Carson Valley Cemetery, near Duncansville, where interment will be made.
