Maude was my Husband's Maternal Grandmother. This precious lady made everyone who entered her home feel welcome. She was always smiling. I remember the first Christmas Alan and I spent together as husband and wife, we had been married about six months. The party was at Rob and Maude's house. I didn't know anyone very well, and I felt so out of place. Everybody was pretty much congregated in the kitchen, so I went to the living room to sit by myself. Maude left her guest, to come sit with me, so I wouldn't feel so uncomfortable. She passed three months later. Maude and Rob Benfield had ten children.
