He had 4 siblings: Cornelious (Con), Anthony (Tony), Cassius (Casey)and Anna (Tessler)Berg. He had 3 daughters from his first wife who died of Scarlet fever at the age of 29. They are Eleanore (Nora) Berg, Nubark, Clara Berg, Roesler, and Elsie Berg Patrenets. None are living. He married Anna Bolling and had 7 more children. They are Alexander Vincent II (Ollie)(died from a stroke), Catherine, (died from Scarlet Fever & diphtheria), James Cornelius (Jake)(died from TB), Cassius Ernest (Casey)(died at 80 years due to heart and stroke complications), Tessie (died of a sudden illness at 9 years-old), Florence (died from brain and lung cancer at age 57) and Richard Peter (Dick), (died from a broken heart and lived with Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and Glaucoma. His father was Anton Berg. His mother was Catharina Muller.
