Age 76, passed away, at her daughter's residence. Marie was born to Eugene and Margaret (nee Plaunt) Babcock. Her early life was spent on Bois Blanc Island, MI. She attended North Central Michigan College. On May 25, 1955 Marie was united in marriage to the late Ward Williams Sr. on Bois Blanc Island, MI. She was later married to Vincent Mangiapane. Marie resided in Waterford the past four years, with her family. She was a member of the Salvation Army Corp, the First Congregational Church of Christ South Milwaukee and also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington. Marie enjoyed working on word puzzles, playing card games, Scrabble, Mexican Train and Bingo. She liked to relax with her knitting and was an avid reader.
Marie is survived by her children; Carole (Keith) Scheffler, Ward (Terry) Williams Jr., Melody (Richard) Herman, Jeffrey (Olivia) Williams and Annie (Patrick) Huberty, grandchildren; David, Abbi, Phillip, Michael, Laura, Elvis, Danielle, Michelle, Tracy, Timothy, Emily, Shaun, Cory, and great-grandchildren: Lacey, Juli, Crissy, Nathan, James, Samantha, Caleb, Maya, Shannon, Gabe, Ray, and Julia. She is further survived by her siblings: Audrey Kirchoff, Victor Babcock, Shirley Gahn and Tom Babcock. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, both spouses, a sister Joyce Jackson, a dear companion Don Weston and a grandson Daniel Scheffler.
