Formerly of Antigo, died at Meriter Hospital, Madison. She was 85 years old. She was born the youngest daughter of William and Bertha (Moon) Hunt. She married Charles Gartmann on August 18, 1944 at Tracy, California. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1989. She later married Joseph Igl Jan. 24, 1994, he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1996. She lived in Oak Creek and in 1967 moved to Summit Lake where she owned and operated Gartmann's Coffee Shop until retirement in 1978. She lived in Antigo for a number of years and attended North Central Technical College where she earned her GED. Mrs. Gartmann-Igl was a girl scout and 4-H leader and volunteered at the Langlade County senior citizens nutrition center. She was a member of SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church and it's Rosary Society and the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Post #377 in Elcho. Survivors include a daughter Annette Rittman, Madison; three sons Charles (Mickey) Gartmann, Sealy, TX, David (Laana) Gartmann, Chippewa Falls, James (Judy) Gartmann, Oregon, WI; a son in law Robert Siemann, Whitewater; a sister Mildred Hunt, Chippewa Falls; a brother Marvin (Nona) Hunt, Waupaca; five grandchildren: Michelle, Alyssa, Robert, Ashley and James and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous step children and their families. In addition to her husbands and parents she was preceded in death by two daughters Donna and Shirley Gartmann, a brother William Hunt, two sisters, Elizabeth McGraw and Gladys Koch. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Michale Betley officiating. Entombment will take place in Queen of Peace Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:00 p.m. and the Rosary Society Wake service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
