Justin T. Felegie (1985-2011)

Justin T. Felegie, 25 of Girard, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center following injuries he received in an automobile accident. He was born in Erie on November 27, 1985, a son of Adam Felegie and Ronda Senyo Felegie Snedden.

Justin graduated from Northwestern High School in 2006.

Following his graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he graduated second in his class at basic training. He was later deployed to Iraq in March of 2007, serving 15 months in the Baghdad area. He received the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon and sharpshooters badge. After his discharge from the military in 2009, he returned to the Girard-Albion area.

He attended Bethel Assembly of God in Girard and was a member of Springfield VFW Post #4965. He loved all types of music, collecting beach glass with his wife, Marie, on Lake Erie, enjoyed walking in the outdoors and steel head and bass fishing.

He will be sadly missed by his family which includes his wife, Marie E. McClelland Felegie, whom he married June 23, 2008 in Columbus, Ga.; his father, Adam E. Felegie, and his wife, Karen, of Lake City; his mother, Ronda L. Senyo Felegie Snedden, and her husband, Robert, of Pittsburgh; his sister, Kathryn E. Felegie, of Pittsburgh; brothers, Brian E. Felegie of Pittsburgh, and Joseph I. Felegie of Lake City; his paternal grandmother, Thelma F. Felegie, of Girard; maternal grandmothers, Margaret Hill and Sally Hites, both of Albion; his mother and father-in-law, Sue Ann and James P. McClelland, of Girard; also several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, Girard. Funeral Services will be held privately by the family.

Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery with full military honors.
