Filmmaker, actor, songwriter and singer. Born Fuad Jorge Jury, he began his acting career under direction of Leopoldo Torre Nilsson by participating in films "El Secuestrador" (1958), "Fin de Fiesta" (1960) and "La mano en la trampa" (1961). His production as director includes: "El amigo" (short film, 1960), "Crónica de un niño solo" (1964), "Éste es el romance del Aniceto y la Francisca, de cómo quedó trunco, comenzó la tristeza y unas pocas cosas más..." (1966), "El dependiente" (1969), "Juan Moreira" (1973), "Nazareno Cruz y el Lobo" (1975), "Soñar, soñar" (1976), "Gatica, el mono" (1993), "Perón, sinfonía del sentimiento" (Documentary, 1999) and "Aniceto" (2007). Over the years, his films made him a cult director in all of Latin America and one of the most acclaimed in the Argentina film history. As singer and songwriter was one of the pioneers of Latin American romantic ballads in the 1960s and 1970's, reaching success throughout Latin America. Among his most popular songs include "Fuiste mía un verano", "Ella ya me olvidó", "Quiero aprender de memoria", "Ella es", "O quizás simplemente le regale una rosa", "Mi tristeza es mía y nada más", "No ser Dios y cuidarlos", and many others. He was awarded nationally and internationally for his films and after his consecration as a singer in the Song Festival of Viña del Mar, Chile, was one of the most successful Latin American singers, and toured throughout all the continent and Spain in several occasions.
