Patrick Alaimo,21, of Methuen, loving and devoted child of Michael and Diane Alaimo, and caring brother and role model to David and Domenic Alaimo, made his journey to ‘The Next Place' on June 29, 2008. Patrick was also very devoted to his grandparents, Charles Donovan and his wife Marian of Reddington Shores, FL and Rita Alaimo of York, ME

Patrick, with his bright, gentle eyes and beautiful smile brought joy and comfort to all who knew him. He was a source of happiness, strength and inspiration for his family and friends and was always ready with a hug and kind words. Patrick's love for his family was evident in the simple pleasures he shared with them such as a game of cards, watching a movie together or spending time with his grandparents.

Patrick was baptized and confirmed at First Church Congregational of Methuen. He served as a student deacon and participated in the church's outreach and youth programs.

He graduated from Methuen High School in 2004 where he played football and volleyball, was a trumpet player in the Methuen High Ranger Band and was a member of the chorus.

Patrick was currently attending Salem State College where he was very active in student life and affairs. A Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice will be awarded posthumously. He was interested in pursuing a career in forensic psychology or crime scene investigation. Patrick also worked part time as a mental health assistant at Baldpate Hospital in Georgetown.

The light of his life will shine forever within his family and friends and within those whose life he hopes to help heal.

In addition to his parents, grandparents, brothers, many cousins and friends, Patrick is survived by his girlfriend of 3 years, Maria Jimenez of Chelsea, many aunts and uncles including maternal aunts Nancy (Antone) Toscano and husband Sam of Methuen, Lori Donovan of Haverhill, and Cynthia (Donovan) Saba and husband Danny of Methuen. Paternal aunts and uncles include Joanne (Macenas) Alaimo of Biddeford, ME, Julie (Alaimo) Balogh and husband Andy of Newburyport, John Alaimo and wife Donna of Kittery, ME, Stephen Alaimo and wife Sandy of Hampton, NH, and David Alaimo of Amesbury. He is predeceased by his grandparents Heloise (Girard) Donovan and Anthony J. Alaimo and an uncle, Anthony J. Alaimo, II.
