MONTPELIER , ID--Jonathan Lee Matthews, 20, son of Leonard and Kathryn Jacobsen Matthews, and former resident of North Salt Lake, passed away Sunday, February 21, 1999, at his home in Montpelier of complications from a fall.

He was born September 19, 1978 in Bountiful, Utah, to Kathryn Irene Jacobsen and Markay Elbert Hamblin.

He is survived by his parents, Leonard and Kathryn Matthews, of Montpelier ; a sister, Julianna Matthews, serving a mission in Houston, TX; a brother, Richard Matthews, of Montpelier ; six half-brothers, and 10 step-brothers and sister. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, T. Harold and Erika Jacobsen and a half-brother.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24, at 12 noon in the Montpelier 6th Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Matthews Mortuary on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
