MONTPELIER — Cindy Lee Hymas Bentsen, 46, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at the Bear Lake Skilled Nursing Facility in Montpelier. She was born December 2, 1955, in Columbus, Montana, to O.W. Hymas and Elaine H. Davis. Cindy was formerly employed at Butch Cassidy's in Montpelier, Idaho, until health concerns forced her to leave. She was very good in her profession in the food service and hotel/motel industry. Cindy loved serving the public, and it showed in her work performance. She also cherished her two children, John and Toshauna.

Cindy is survived by her children, John L. Sorrell Jr., and Toshauna L. Sorrell; her father, O.W. Hymas; her mother, Elaine Davis; former husband, Larry G. Bentsen; four brothers, Steven J. (Charlotte) Haddock, Gene (Patty) Perkins, Kim William (Kathy) Hymas, Jeff Perkins; two sisters, Andrea (Tony) Pinson, Patty (Wayne) Haddock; along with 21 nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Cindy was preceded in death by her former husband, John Sorrell Sr., her brother, Michael J. Haddock, and her grandparents on both sides.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. in the Paris, Idaho Stake Center, Paris, Idaho. Friends may call at Matthews Mortuary, 702 Clay St., in Montpelier from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight, Friday, Nov. 1, and on Saturday at the church in Paris from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery.
