The funeral of Mrs. Anna Bruington, mother
of Chief of Police Goff, was held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning from the residence, 708 Morse Street. Six policemen acted as pall bearers. Interment was made in Rochester Cemetery.

Carlos A. Goff (Mrs. Bruington's son)
In 1902-3 he served as chief of police and during the big flood of 1903 was one of the foremost in rescuing the refugees. He was himself marooned in a North Topeka elevator with his family. His mother and son, Verne (Fern), died from Exposure during the flood.
