Doyle passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012. Services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Harris Chapel Cemetery in Lindale with Wes Bynum officiating. Doyle was born April 10, 1948, in Lindale to the late JC and Eunice (Alvey) Batey. Doyle lived in Tyler most of his life, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, June Batey of Tyler; his son, Damon Batey and wife Latisha of Flint; daughters, Teresa Allen of Flint and Angie Batey of Tyler; brothers, Glenn Batey and wife Sue of Flint, JC Batey and wife Janelle of Colfax, Ronald Batey and wife Sharon; sisters, Addie McGrady and husband Fred of Colfax, Betty Mullican and husband Mike of Arp; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
