Port man dies in Vietnam
Robert Lee Shriner, a Harbor Area resident nearly his entire life, died in Vietnam Nov. 20 from non-hostile causes. He was a member of the 164th Aviation Group. Shriner, 20, had recently resided at 244 E. 222nd St., Hawaiian Gardens, California. He was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Shriner; two brothers, Fred Shriner and Norman Hurst; one sister Mrs. Beverly Smith, and his mother, Mrs. Frances Jordan. A funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 9,, 1970, in McNerney's Colonial Chapel, 1640 Avalon Blvd., Wilmington, California.
