His father George Brimmer was born on Jun 1839 in Basing, Basingstoke (Upper Half), Hampshire, England and his mother Eliza was born in 1843 in England.

Edward's sister's Mollie, Elizabeth and Eva were born in England. In about 1870, George, Eliza and their 3 daughter's immigrated to Pennsylvania. Edward was born 5 Dec 1872 in Pennsylvania. When he was very young the family moved to Longview, Gregg, Texas where his sister Amina was born in Jan 1880.

Edward and his sister's Mollie, Elizabeth "Lizzie", Eva and Amina were orphaned when their parents died in 1880. Mollie said that both of their parents died in the same year. So they died sometime after Jan 1880 but before 21 Jun 1880 in Longview, Gregg, Texas.

On the 21 June 1880 Census for Longview, Gregg, Texas the children are orphans and all living with different families in the community. None of the family were relatives. Mollie the oldest was age 21, Lizzie was age 16, Eva was age 12, Edward was age 7 and Amina was 5 months old.

Mollie was a cook in the home of R.B and Edmonia Levy. Lizzie was a boarder in the home Samuel Wright an Engineer and his family. Eva attended school and lived in the home of Rev. James H Wiggins and his Family. Amina was cared for by Kalisk and Louiza Mani. Lizzie married Ferguson McAfee Burton on 7 Mar 1887 in Longview, Gregg, Texas.

Mollie, Edward, Eva and Amina were pioneers, moving to the Salt River Valley in Maricopa, Arizona Territory, in a covered wagon about 1888-89. Eva married her husband Lindsey B Morrell on 14 Oct 1890 in Phoenix, Maricopa Co., Arizona. Edward Brimmer was a miner in the Gold Mines. Mollie was a dressmaker and raised Amina (Mollie never married). Lizzie had stayed in Longview, Texas but after her husband Ferguson Burton death in 1903 she and her children joined her siblings in Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona.

In 1910 Edward, Chloe and their daughter Eva (3 months old) were living in Osborne, Maricopa, Arizona where Edward was still a miner in the gold mines. The following year Edward had to be carried out of the Gold Mines when he developed black lung disease.

Edward and Chloe then moved to Bloomington, California in 1911 where Edward was a Rancher. They later lived for a short time in Rialto, California.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the A.H.McLellan Mortuary for Mollie Brimmer, 84 years old, who died unexpectly yesterday at her home, 94, East Osborn road. The Rev. G. Byron Deshler will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Miss Brimmer was born in England September 8, 1858. She came to the United States 75 years ago and to Phoenix 48 years ago from Temple, Texas. She was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church here. Surviving are a brother, Edward Brimmer of California; three nieces. Mrs. C. D. Burgess of Phoenix, Mrs. Ellen Morrison of Tucson and Mrs. Ethel Sawyer of New Jersey; two nephews, Furguson Burton and Harry Morrell, both of Phoenix.
