Salvatore Carlo Montefusco, was the son of Dominick Montefusco and Rosa Bianco. He emigrated to the U.S. from the port of Naples (Napoli), Campania region, Italy. He had resided in Avellino at the time of his emigration. He arrived in Boston on March 1 1921, aboard the ship Cretic. The ship manifesto marks the arrival as 28 Feb 1921. Salvatore was 24 at the time. A carpenter for profession, he settled in Brooklyn, N.Y.

He later became a citizen of the U.S.A.

Husband of Nicolina Galasso. They married in New York, on October 29 1922. They had at least two sons.

Salvatore died at age 85 in Pasco County, Florida. He is buried along with his wife in the same cemetery.

In some documents the middle name is given as Carl and not the correct Carlo.
