Visitation was today in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Henry. Mass of Christian burial followed at 11 a.m. The Rev. Tom Mizeur will officiate. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, Henry.
She was born April 15, 1910, in Henry to George and Helen (Hartwig) Harney. She married George A. Engelbrecht on June 15, 1938 in Henry.
She graduated from Henry schools and Illinois State Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher, teaching in the Henry and Camp Grove area schools. After her marriage, she became a homemaker, raising her family. She later became partners in Engelbrecht Angus Farms with her husband.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She also attended St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peoria Heights.
Surviving are two sons, William (Helena) Engelbrecht of Peoria and Larry (Margaret) Engelbrecht, of Fowler; one sister, Marion Barlowart of Arizona; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 6, 2004; one son, Arthur; one daughter, Evelyn Corcoran; three brothers, Paul, David and Ormand; three sisters, Pat, Evelyn and Margaret; and two grandsons.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Church.
