Mrs. Rhoda Billingsley
Mrs. Rhoda Billingsley, 78, died at midnight Tuesday at the Fairbury Hospital, where she had been a patient for a year.
She was taken to the Cook Funeral Home where services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Donald Vaupel will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
She was born near Glasgow, Ky., Nov. 9, 1875, the daughter of Allen and Rachael Carter Chapman. She was educated in the country schools at Glasgow. She was married to William T. Billingsley in January, 1893. They moved to a farm near Fairbury in 1899 and retried to Fairbury in 1945. Her husband died in 1947.
Surviving are two sons, Ivan R. and Floyd of Fairbury; three daughters, Mrs. Delsie Sherfey of Thawville, Mrs. Muriel Wilson of Cheona, and Mrs. Mildred Zimmerman of Fairbury; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
