Billie's legal birth name is Willie Alvalee Kelso, the story has been told that her father really wanted a son, so he named her Willie. Years later she changed her name from Willie to Billie and dropped her middle name. Thereafter she went by Billie K. Hall, the "K" standing for her maiden name Kelso, her sisters Norella and Bobbie did this as well, they were very proud to be Kelso's.

Mrs. Billie Kelso Hall, 92, Murray, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 12:01pm at Spring Creek Health Care.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, St. Leo Ladies Guild charter member, and a member of the Garden Department of the Murray Woman's Club. She was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Calloway County.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert P. Hall, her parents, Ernest and Luna Scherffius Kelso, stepmother, Ruth Cochrum Kelso, two brothers, Hardy and Glen Kelso, one sister, Norella Potts, and two stepchildren, Robert E. Hall and Joan Feck.
Survivors include a half sister, Bobbie Troutman and husband, Jim, Louisville; sisters-in-law, Frances and Faye Nell Kelso, both of Murray; five step grandchildren, Dr. Candace Feck (Rino Angelini) and Lisa Feck (Dr. Chris Hammel, all of Columbus, Ohio, Steve Feck (Michelle), David Feck (Kim), Julie Schott (Joe), and Amie Imbus (Bill), all of Cincinnati, Ohio; 15 step great-grandchildren; eight nieces; five nephews; 24 great-nieces and great-nephews; 21 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Entombment will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.
