He was buried at first on the field of battle, but later was moved to the National Cemetery at Gettysburg.

The attached photo is courtesy of the Turford Collection. On the back it reads, "My Brother Albert Edson Killed at Gettysburg July 1 1863". The photographer was Charles D. Fredricks, 547 Broadway N.Y.C. and would date from around 1862.
