He was born John Bert Fretter in Newaygo, the son of Margaret Melissa (Craft) and Daniel Fretter on June 12, 1937.
He was a seasonal Odd Jobs laborer.
He was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his sister Elsie & David Taylor of Mesick, his nieces & nephews Sandy Taylor of Traverse City, Debby & Asa McCarthy of Eastview, KY, Darell & Denise Taylor of Amherst, NY, Neal & Teresa Taylor of CO.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM from the Newaygo Chapel, on Saturday, November 19, 2011 with Pastor Dan Fullmer officiating.
