Mary Toebbe Cheek, of died September 25, 2012.
She was the sixth child born to Bernard H. and Anna Catherine Theiler Toebbe in Indianapolis, IN on November 24, 1922. The family returned to Louisville in 1928, where she graduated from the old Lovvorn School in 1936; Fern Creek High School Class of 1940 and earned her R.N. Degree from the old St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in 1943.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Richard L. (Ollie), Henry E. (Lillian), Catherine (Mrs. Joseph) Pendleton and Helen B. Toebbe; sisters-in-law, Ruth Toebbe and Dodie Toebbe; her husband of 18 years, Paul E. Cheek, M. D. and her eldest son, Laurence Russell Cheek of Akron, OH.
She leaves her beloved children, Pama C. (Mrs. Michael) Free of New Albany, OH, Barbara A. Roduner of Port Charlotte, FL and Steven Paul Cheek of Akron; sister, Anna Mae (Mrs. Robert) Hosea of Louisville; brothers, Bernard J. and Lawrence H. (Rose Mary) Toebbe of Louisville; five grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special thanks to her niece, Amy Toebbe and caregiver Linda Snyder for over five years of loving care and support.
The body has been cremated. There will be a private family memorial.
