Residence: Concord, Vermont. He enlisted at the age 19 on August 8, 1862, and was mustered in on September 1, 1862, into Co. A. 1st Vermont Heavy Artillery. He was taken captive at Weldon Railroad, Virginia, on June 23, 1864. Died of scorbutus while a prisoner at Camp Sumter.
