-- James Roney Stewart Mr. Stewart, 65, of 5339 Elderbank Drive, Charlotte, died May 30, 2009. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at East Stonewall A.M.E. Zion Church, Charlotte, Rev. Dr. Michael McLean officiating. Burial will be in Crown Memorial Park Cemetery, Pineville. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. Born in Mecklenburg County, Mr. Stewart retired in 1989 as a patient care technician with Carolina Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Ford Stewart, son Frederick A. Stewart, daughters, Veronie Gamble and Shuhura Barnes, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to East Stonewall A.M.E. Zion Church Building Fund, 1729 Grier Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28216. Grier Funeral Service is assisting the family.
