-- FOUNTAIN INN Henry C. "Pop" Peek Jr., 72, husband of Sharon Leddick Peek, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
Mr. Peek was born November 24, 1938, in Marion, N.C., to the late Rev. H.C. Peek Sr., and Geneva Viola Holts Peek. He was the owner and operator of Peeks Painting, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Mr. & Mrs. Bowling League. He enjoyed fishing, Karaoke, NASCAR, and was an Atlanta Braves fan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Scottie Peek; a stepson, Pete Gainey; a stepdaughter, Charlie Ann Camp; six brothers, Roy Peek, John Peek, Elmo Peek, Jack Peek, Norris Peek and Wayne Peek; five sisters, Sarah Hales, Bernice Townsend, Betty Clark, Edith Hall, and Sharon Taylor; a favorite niece, Peggy "Sis" Peek; and his beloved dogs, Chipper and Jessie. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ed Peek and Bobby Peek.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Service, officiated by the Rev. Michael Bearden. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill.
