-- YORK Mr. Randle Richard Helms, of 2953 Chester Highway, York, S.C., passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011, at Common Ground Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tommy McFalls officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.
Born in Lancaster, S.C., Mr. Helms was a son of Eula Watts Helms of Rock Hill and the late Ned Richard Helms.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Martha Tinker Helms; his son, Randy Helms and wife, Kim, of York; two daughters, Renee Shoemake and husband, David, and Cherry Stegall and husband, Jack, all of Rock Hill; two brothers, James Helms and Carl Helms, both of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren, Thomas Campbell, Justin Helms, Dakota Plyler, Tara Stegall, Justin Grindstaff, Stephanie Helms, Kassidy Plyler, Quinton Dorman, Allison Knight, Jay Hudson, Ciara Stegall, Jessica Dorman, Zachary Plyler, Brent Shoemake and Maurice Rhinehart; and four great-grandchildren, Karson Campbell, Gabriel Whisonant, Bella Hudson and Zowii Grindstaff.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, and other times at the home.
