-- ROCK HILL - Mr. William Thomas Parnell Sr., 61, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at his home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Forest Hills Cemetery, with Pastors Mike Wooten and Gerald Bennett officiating.
A native of Columbus, Ga., Mr. Parnell was the son of the late Weldon M. and Helen Jarvis Parnell Sr. He was a member of Garden Sanctuary Church of God and worked for CTR in Rock Hill. Mr. Parnell was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam.
Mr. Parnell is survived by his wife, Janie Purvis Parnell; his sons, Edward "Scott" Parnell, William "Junior" Thomas Parnell Jr., and Christopher "Chris" Jackson Parnell, all of Rock Hill; his brothers, Weldon M. Parnell Jr. of Lexington, N.C., and James H. Parnell of Panama City, Fla.; his sister, Martha Nell of Sanderford, N.C.; and his six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White St., and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Garden Sanctuary Church of God Building Fund, 831 Cedar St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
