Deceased Name: PERSKY, WILLIAM
William Persky was born in Holland, Texas, on October 3, 1917. He passed peacefully at the age of 94 in San Diego on July 3, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dottie Persky; his daughter and son-in-law, Elena and Ron Peavy of Big Bear Lake and their children (Scott, Lesli, Matt and Krista); his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Kelly Persky and his grandson Dane Persky of San Diego. He also leaves behind a sister, Nadine Beasley of Louisiana, and a number of nieces and nephews. William, known to most as Bill, was especially proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps. After the war, he enjoyed a wonderful and fulfilling civilian life in San Diego surrounded by family and friends. One very special set of friends, the Haight family, came to be considered as family to the Perskys. Sallie, Glenn, Kathy, and Susan as well as their spouses and children have offered much support over many years. Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial service to be announced.
