Thelma Reece, 94, of Garland, Texas passed away Friday December 2, 2011 at her home in Garland.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Mrs. Reece was born June 19, 1917 in Van Zandt County, Texas. She married Forest William Reece June 18, 1939 in Grand Falls, Texas. They moved to Andrews in 1967 from Midland. He preceded her in death in 1989 and she moved to the Dallas area in 1991.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Andrews. She was a great homemaker and her home always was in top shape. She was considered by her family to be the "Best Cook in the World". She also enjoyed making comforters and quilts.
She is survived by her sons, Forest Reece of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Ron Reece of Midland, Texas; her daughter Angela Reece Wilson of Garland; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
