Eliza Smith parents were Andrew Jackson Smith 1828 – 1864 and Martha J Deatharage 1833. She had 2 brothers, Thomas Smith 1851 – 1911 and Andrew Jackson Smith 1855 – 1897.

On nov.4 1882, Eliza Married Isham H KITE. Eliza gave birth to 2 baby boys, Alfred and Robert.

In 1920 they were living in rural Baileyton, Greene, Tennessee. was a farmer and They owned their land and house. It was free of mortgage. A 14 year old boy ward of them and he was working for his keep.

On Aug 15, 1929 was a sad day for Eliza. Her dear Isham H KITE had passed away. A burial plot was selected at the Price Cemetery. Eliza's family and friends gathered their to bid their beloved Isham to "Rest in Peace."

On Oct. 14, 1943. Eliza passed away in Sullivan Co., Tennessee. On Oct.27, 1943 Eliza's family and friends gathered around the plot adjoining her beloved Isham to bid her to "Rest in Peace." (bio by Audrey DeCamp Hoffman.)
