GOD HATH NOT PROMISED
SKIES ALWAYS BLUE,
FLOWER-STREWN PATHWAYS
ALL OUR LIVES THROUGH;
GOD HATH NOT PROMISED
SUN WITHOUT RAIN.
JOY WITHOUT SORROW,
PEACE WITHOUT PAIN.

BUT GOD HATH PROMISED
STRENGHT FOR THE DAYS,
REST FOR THE LABOR,
LIGHT FOR THE WAY.
GRACE FOR THE TRIALS,
HELP FROM ABOVE.
UNFAILING SYNPATHY
UNDYING LOVE....

Gravesite Details

His picture and vase on gravestone were destroyed by vandalism in the early 1970's. You can view his gravestone before the vandals got to it. Also his birthdate is wrong on gravestone. I have his Birth Cerificate and it reads April 17th.
