Grace Banks, 77, R. 2, Springville, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bedford Medical Center, where she entered May 15. She had been ill since November. She was born in Lawrence County, Novenber 25, 1905 to Harry & Phoebe Jones Taylor. She married Frank Banks on December 29, 1951 and he survives. She was of Pentecost faith.
Surviving with the husband are seven sons; Mack Banks, R. 12, Bedford, Richard and Franklin Banks, both of Springville, James Banks of Bedford, John Banks, R.R. 14, Bedford, Chet Banks, Bedford and Roger Banks, Washington, Indiana; one daughter, Wanda Moore, Bloomington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one brother, Ocie Taylor, R. 12, Bedford.
She was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary, the Rev. Chester Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Springville Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
