Ms. Diane Renay Matherley, 32, of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at her home. She was born Dec. 26, 1967, in Forsyth County to P. David Matherley Jr. and Verona Newsom Matherley. Surviving are her son, Christopher James Stewart of the home; a sister, Angela Lynn Vaughn of Conway, S.C.; her parents; two nieces; an aunt, Shirley Cobb of Winston-Salem; four uncles, Billy Hilterbrand, Jimmy Hilterbrand, Wayne Hilterbrand and Nick White; and her grandparents, David and Lena Matherley. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapelm with Pastor Chris Daniel and the Rev. Robert Walling officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Christopher Stewart Fund, c/o Verona Vogel, 1008 Foxfire Drive, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
